What we are looking for
UNICEF Australia is in search of a Policy and Advocacy Manager reporting to Head of Policy and Advocacy to initiate and make real and lasting changes which improve outcomes for children and young people in Australia and internationally.
Your day will include

Compiling, curating, and integrating evidence from relevant research, programs, networks and respected commentators to add credibility to the case for change

Establishing, sustaining, and contributing to effective relationships to advocate for change with key stakeholders within government, private and public sector.
We would like you to have the following skills and experience

Appropriate tertiary qualification in fields of Public Policy, Social Sciences and Research, International Development, Law and/or Human Rights, or relevant field is desirable

A minimum of 7 years' experience in areas such as social policy, international development, government, community sector, youth sector, child rights, and advocacy is advantageous

Comprehensive understanding of government and parliamentary processes, encompassing budgets, submissions, inquiries at both Federal and States/Territories levels

Experience working with children and/or young people in vulnerable situations, whether in a research, policy, or service delivery capacity, would be a plus
