Job Description

What we are looking for  

At UNICEF Australia, we are committed to delivering life-changing outcomes for children by driving impactful engagement through our media investments. As part of our continued focus on performance, we are seeking a Paid Media Specialist to support the development and implementation of our acquisition strategy and to optimise the ongoing performance.   

We’re looking for a strong performance minded specialist who takes initiative and thrives in a data-driven environment. With a background in media strategy, planning, trading or digital marketing, you’ll bring deep knowledge of the media landscape and emerging trends. You’ll be hands-on in unpacking audience behaviour and insights, with a sharp focus on maximising KPI growth across acquisition media.   

 

Your day will include 

  • Collaborating with internal campaign team and media agency to optimise paid media strategies for Paid Social, Paid Search and Programmatic campaigns.  

  • Monitoring and analysing campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimisation.  

  • Conducting keyword research, audience targeting, and ad copy creation to maximise campaign effectiveness. 

  • Implementing A/B testing and other optimization techniques to improve ad performance and conversion rates. 

  • Managing budget allocation and bidding strategies to ensure efficient use of resources. 

  • Generating regular reports on campaign performance, highlighting key metrics and trends.  

 

We would like you to have the following skills and experience  

  •  At least 5 years of digital media planning/strategy/buying experience. Your skillset will skew towards digital platforms and be comfortable with the performance platforms including the likes of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Trade Desk…   

  • Hands on experience with organizational audience tracking and measurement tools such as Google Analytics   

  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing communications and established planning principles   

  • Proficient in articulating and delivering media strategy/recommendations to senior management with demonstrated presentation and writing skills   

  • Adaptable to change and an ability to stay on top of evolving media trends   

  • Numerical/Analytical aptitude and skill٫ developing clear insight and turning data into stories that can easily be understood with clear recommendations. Being hands on and deep diving into dashboards and pulling reports to develop conclusions.   

  • Knowledge and experience managing A/B and multivariate testing frameworks   

  • A strong interest in current affairs with a passion for world news, human rights, social justice and in working in the international aid and development sector
