UNICEF is the world’s largest children’s charity working to protect vulnerable children, globally and here in Australia. Every day our teams are on the ground in 190 countries working with local partners to deliver lifesaving help and create lasting change. From vaccinating children in war zones to providing early childhood education access in Indigenous communities, donations help us to protect every child, no matter what.
We are offering a 10 weeks internship position, working 2 days per week (120-240 hours total) in a flexible environment, built around the diversity of our team and their needs. Preference for Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday from March 2026.
What we are looking for
A proactive and curious student with a willingness to learn and adapt to join our inclusive, child‑focused organisation—gaining hands‑on experience in strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and resource promotion supporting multicultural communities.
Your day will include

Stakeholder mapping and engagement: researching, identifying, and profiling multicultural leaders/influencers, community organisations, and media outlets; maintaining a contact database; preparing engagement briefs/summaries.
We would like you to have the following skills and experience

Currently undertaking a Communication, international development, community engagement, social policy, international relations, or a related field.
