What we are looking for
The Marketing Manager, Gifts in Wills is responsible for the UNICEF Australia Gifts in Wills strategy. This includes recruiting and nurturing supporters who would like to leave a gift in their Will to UNICEF Australia. As well as increasing the awareness of Gifts in Wills as a method of giving in Australia and advocating for Gifts in Wills within the organisation.
The UNICEF Australia Gifts in Wills program is divided into the following key areas: new supporter acquisition and lead generation, supporter stewardship and communications, estate administration, and campaign execution. This role will work closely within Individual Giving and the wider Fundraising & Communications division to grow the Gifts in Wills pipeline and increase UNICEF Australia’s overall unrestricted revenue. You’ll bring a test-and-learn mindset, using insights, segmentation and optimisation to continuously enhance supporter acquisition, engagement and conversion across the GIW pipeline.
Your day will include
- Developing and executing a Gifts in Wills Acquisition and Stewardship strategy to grow pipeline and maximise lifetime value of UA supporter base
- Managing the gifts in Wills investment budget and grant applications
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and third parties such as solicitors, to drive quality and results
- Alongside the Relationship Manager, Gifts in Wills, reviewing and improving UNICEF Australia gifts in Wills supporter stewardship program
- Working in collaboration with other team members across Fundraising & Communications to embed Gifts in Wills opportunities across supporter journeys and organisational touchpoints
- Looking for innovative to leverage and build supporter engagement by gifts in Wills prospects and donors with other financial and non-financial UNICEF Australia programs
- Managing the Gifts in Wills team and growing the team’s capabilities and recognition internally and externally

- Passionate about international aid and development sector – highly motivated to create long-term impact
- Ability to create Business Value and have strong strategic, multi-channel marketing capability - focus on achieving the greatest return on resources invested
- Be impactful and influential with excellent communication skills - gain support from others to achieve the desired business outcomes
- High Accountability - required to adhere to high standards of performance excellence
- Demonstrated fundraising and/or marketing experience including Gifts in Wills programs
- Experience with estate administration, Budget management, Data driven approach, with CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
- People leadership experience
