Job Description

What we are looking for 

An experienced, commercially minded and collaborative marketing leader who is passionate about building meaningful supporter journeys and maximising lifetime value. Reporting into the Senior Loyalty Manager, you will lead a high-performing Retention team to deliver best-in-class donor retention and engagement activities for single giving and regular giving programs. You will use data, insights and sector best practice to grow revenue from existing supporters while delivering exceptional end-to-end supporter experiences.

Your day will include

  • Develop and deliver the annual Retention strategy aligned to the broader Loyalty and Individual Giving strategy 
  • Lead multi-channel retention campaigns and regular giving journeys (email, SMS, direct mail, telemarketing), including emergency response retention activity 
  • Drive a strong test-and-learn culture, leveraging data and analytics to optimise performance, improve supporter journeys and grow lifetime value 
  • Oversee the development and optimisation of regular giving products in partnership with Acquisition, ensuring alignment across the supporter lifecycle 
  • Manage Retention budgets, forecasting, KPIs and agency partnerships (creative, direct mail, telemarketing and analytics) 
  • Lead, coach and develop team members while driving continuous improvement across processes, systems and the adoption of automation and AI-enabled tools to enhance performance and efficiency 
We would like you to have the following skills and experience
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, commerce or business (or equivalent experience). 
  • 5+ years’ experience in consumer marketing, with strong expertise in retention, loyalty or lifecycle programs within a complex organisation. 
  • Proven experience leading and optimising multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, direct mail, telemarketing). 
  • Strong project management capability, with the ability to prioritise, manage multiple workstreams and deliver against deadlines. 
  • Highly developed business acumen and financial literacy, including budget management, forecasting and performance reporting. 
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience using data and insights to drive optimisation and revenue growth. 
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering accountability, agility and resilience. 
  • Excellent stakeholder and agency management skills, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes in a cross-functional environment.
