UNICEF is the world’s largest children’s charity working to protect vulnerable children, globally and here in Australia. Run entirely on voluntary donations, we work to improve the lives of every vulnerable child, no matter who they are or where they live. Every day our teams are on the ground in 190 countries working with local partners to deliver lifesaving help and create lasting change. From vaccinating children in war zones to providing early childhood education access in Indigenous communities, donations help us to protect every child, no matter what.

Job Description

We are offering a Full‑time contract role for 9-12 months, working in a flexible environment, built around the diversity of our team and their needs. A competitive salary commensurate with the not-for-profit sector is offered together with a broad range of wellbeing benefits.

  • Creating a welcoming, inclusive and engaging community experience across multiple touchpoints
  • Managing supporter communications, including email, phone enquiries and online community channels
  • Coordinating outbound supporter calls in partnership with the Supporter Experience team, and managing VIP participant engagement directly
  • Managing end‑to‑end event merchandise processes, including forecasting, ordering, stock management and distribution
  • Leading volunteer recruitment, onboarding, rostering and communications, in collaboration with P&C
  • Managing volunteer systems, compliance documentation and shift scheduling
  • Providing pre‑event, on‑the‑day and post‑event support as required
  • Monitoring supporter feedback and engagement data to inform continuous improvement
  • Collaborating closely with Acquisition, Performance Growth and Insights, Brand and Partnership teams
We would like you to have the following skills and experience
  • Experience in community fundraising, supporter care, stewardship or donor engagement
  • Experience coordinating volunteers, including recruitment, onboarding and rostering
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience working with suppliers, agencies or external partners
  • Confidence managing budgets at an operational level (forecasting, tracking and coordination)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
  • Alignment with UNICEF Australia’s values and a strong commitment to child safeguarding principles
What will it feel like to work at UNICEF Australia
