Job Description

What we are looking for 

UNICEF Australia is seeking an enthusiastic, quick thinking and personable marketing specialist, who is passionate about great customer journeys, to support our Retention team in a Team Lead capacity. Reporting into the Loyalty Manager, you will help lead a high-performing Retention team to deliver first class donor retention and engagement activities for single giving and regular giving programs to maximise life-time value and deliver exceptional supporter experiences. 

Your day will include

  • Lead UNICEF Australia’s single giving retention strategy and campaign execution 
  • Support the Loyalty Manager and work closely with the Supporter Experience Team Leader to improve the end-to-end customer experience of UNICEF Australia's supporters via all feedback loops 
  • Lead the Retention team to foster strong agency partners across direct mail, design, data analytics, data hygiene and telemarketing
  • Support on contract development and Request for Proposal (RFP) delivery for relevant suppliers   
  • Lead emergency response campaign strategy through collaboration with Acquisition team 
  • Oversee the day-to-day expenditure of the regular giving and single giving Retention budgets, ensuring activity remains on target 
  • Support Retention team members in day-to-day activities and in the achievement of team and individual KPIs 

We would like you to have the following skills and experience

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, commerce or business, or equivalent relevant experience  
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a consumer mass marketing environment with demonstrated experience in Retention or Loyalty marketing is highly desirable   
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing donor retention programs and regular giving campaigns, with proficiency in handling singular giving initiatives, ensuring donor engagement and loyalty  
  • Experience working with campaign budgets and KPIs
  • Proven ability to develop and propose annual strategies based on data-driven insights and analytics
  • Systematic and organised with the ability to manage time, project delivery and meet tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail, ensuring production of factual, consistent, quality communications and reports
