Job Description

What we are looking for 

A Marketing Coordinator, Community Fundraising and Events to join our Acquisition Team (part of the wider Individual Giving team) and help drive revenue and manage a diversity of fundraising initiatives across the community fundraising program. Reporting directly to the Community Fundraising Manager, you will provide stewardship to fundraisers and their donors, ensuring new supporters fall in love with UNICEF Australia and existing supporters feel appreciated and connected to our work. 

Your day will include

  • Managing UNICEF Australia’s Running program, including fundraising through City2Surf and similar running events 
  • Developing new opportunities for UNICEF Australia to engage in multi-charity events 
  • Nurturing existing fundraising relationships/partnerships, ensuring they have positive interactions with UNICEF Australia and remain committed to financially supporting our vital work for children,  
  • Supporting in the planning, implementation and management of fundraising campaigns, including regular activity, signature events, and emergency appeals 
  • Liaising with internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure the smooth running of the community fundraising program 

We would like you to have the following skills and experience

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in marketing, fundraising, business, communications or other relevant area of study, or equivalent working experience 
  • Experience in event and/or campaign coordination is highly valued 
  • Prior experience in digital marketing, especially in the context of community fundraising is desirable 
  • Proven experience effectively managing multiple projects and stakeholder relationships 
  • Experience in Not-For-Profit (NFP) fundraising data administration using Salesforce (or a similar CRM database) and other fundraising platforms such as Raisely, Funraisin or Grassrootz, would be advantageous 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Creativity and willingness to implement improvements to systems and processes
